RETREAT IN THE FOYER DE CHARITE of TRESSAINT (Brittany - France),
PREACHED in ENGLISH,

I need a break, I am looking for quietness and interior peace.
I have important choices to make.
I would like to unload my burden.
I would like to get new spiritual strength, to go further in my spiritual search.
I would like to experience God’s presence and learn how to pray.
I would like to discover Christian religion, deepen the foundations of the Catholic faith, meditate the Bible.
Why not make a retreat ?
To make a retreat in a Foyer de Charité is to take six days off to follow an unexpected route with several
meetings : with oneself, with God and with brothers and sisters, in a Christian community.
It’s an experience which transforms your being and opens up new perspectives.

The Foyers de Charité...
are Roman Catholic communities which have been formally recognised by Rome since 1986. Within them, lay men and
women, led by a priest, live a common life, sharing all their gifts and resources. Their principal mission is the giving of
retreats, to form the whole People of God for evangelisation.
This retreat...
is a special opportunity to share in the life of the Foyer de Charité of Tressaint, which is easily reached from Britain,
Ireland, or Jersey.
The retreat will be preached by Father David Hartley, a friend of the Foyer, and Mgr Barltrop. It is called ‘fundamental
retreat’ because it surveys all the fundamental points of our Catholic faith.
The community will all look after the retreatants and pray for them.Their work and life style witness in action to what the
retreat is preaching in words.
The retreats are a good way to completely renew our whole being. They allow us to take a few days off to think and pray.
They also allow us to receive formation, to discover and deepen Christian life in the light of the Gospel and the teaching of
the Church.
All those who are searching for God, and looking for the meaning of their lives, for truth and peace are welcome.

Renseignements :

The retreat will begin on Sunday 25th May with dinner at 7.30 pm and end on Saturday 31st May at 2 pm.
Like all Foyer de Charité retreats, it will be in total silence with three talks each day, and worship with the community.
Retreatants are required to stay for the whole retreat.
There is no set price for retreats in the Foyer as financial circumstances should not deter anyone from attending.
